1. Booking & Payment

Nightly Rates: Our charges are based on a nightly rate, beginning the day your guinea pig arrives and including the night before collection.

Booking Confirmation: Your booking is only confirmed when you have received confirmation by email or text.

Fees: Payment in full is due upon collection.

Payment Methods: We accept credit and debit cards, contactless payments, bank transfers, and cash. Sorry, we’re unable to accept cheques.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

More than 7 days’ notice: No payment is required.

7 days to 24 hours’ notice: 50% payment is required.

Less than 24 hours’ notice: The full booking amount is payable, as at such short notice, it is unlikely that we will be unable to offer the reserved space to another customer.

Date Changes: We understand that plans change and will do our best to accommodate alternative dates, subject to availability. If we can reschedule, the new stay must take place within 6 months of the original arrival date.

3. Health & Medication

Health Check: All guests receive a brief health check on arrival. If a guinea pig appears unwell or has symptoms of illness, we reserve the right not to admit them for the safety of other guests.

Medication: We are happy to administer daily oral or topical medication at no extra cost. Please supply medication in clearly labelled packaging along with written instructions.

Veterinary Care: If your guinea pig becomes unwell during their stay, we will make every effort to contact you (or your nominated emergency contact) before seeking veterinary treatment. In the rare event that no one can be reached, we will act with the welfare of your pet as our priority, and follow the advice of a qualified veterinary professional. You will be responsible for all veterinary fees incurred, which may include out-of-hours care charged at a higher rate.

In the unlikely event that euthanasia is recommended on humane grounds by the treating vet, we will seek consent from you or your emergency contact before proceeding. If, despite our efforts, no one can be reached in a timely manner and suffering is present, we will act with compassion based on veterinary advice, which may involve us giving consent for euthanasia on your behalf.

4. Accommodation & Daily Care

Climate-Controlled Room: The boarding room is temperature-controlled with central heating, humidity control, and air purification to maintain a calm, healthy environment.

Bonded Pairs & Groups: Only bonded pairs or groups may share a pen. We reserve the right to separate individuals if signs of conflict or illness arise during their stay.

Enrichment: Daily enrichment is provided through forage, tunnels and scatter feeding. You’re welcome to bring your piggie’s favourite toy, tunnel or blanket to help them settle in.

Food: We provide a variety of vegetables, fruit, forage,  unlimited hay, and fresh water. Please bring your guinea pig’s usual pellets to avoid any tummy upsets.

5. Drop-Off & Collection

By Appointment: All arrivals and collections are by prior appointment to ensure each guest receives our full attention and care.

Delays & Overruns: We understand that travel plans can change. If you experience delays or your return is postponed, please let us know as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate extended stays, and any additional nights will be added to the final balance due on collection.

6. Liability

We take every possible step to ensure your guinea pig’s safety and comfort. However, we cannot accept liability for illness, injury, or loss unless directly due to our negligence.

7. Non-collection

If your guinea pig is not collected and we have not heard from you within 14 days of the agreed collection date, we may have to make alternative arrangements, including rehoming.

By confirming your booking with Woodland View Guinea Pig Hotel, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
